Today we moved into our new extension. After the builders left in the afternoon I started clearing the living room and took up the carpet. The carpet fits well in the extension. I left a gap of about 5 cm all around the edge to make it easier to paint the skirting board. I probably should have done this first, but I wanted to move in. In fact, I needed to move in before next week so that the internal alterations can start.
